The following briefly introduces several deburring methods:


Manual deburring

Handwork is the oldest method. This method is not only a waste of labor, but also a lot of time, which is outdated. Machines have gradually replaced these traditional methods, without technical processing, cost savings, and environmental protection.

2. Chemical deburring

According to the principle of electrochemical reaction, parts made of metal materials can be automatically and selectively deburred. It can be widely used in the deburring processing of pump bodies, valve bodies, connecting rods, plunger needle valve connecting parts and other parts of different metal materials in pneumatic, hydraulic, engineering machinery, nozzle oil pumps, automobiles, engines and other industries. Suitable for internal burrs of hard-to-remove, heat-treated and finished parts.

3. Electrolytic deburring

ECD is an electrochemical machining method used to remove burrs on metal parts by electrolysis. The tool cathode (usually brass) is fixed and placed near the burr part of the workpiece with a certain gap (usually 0.3~1 mm) between the two. The conductive part of the tool cathode is aligned with the edge of the burr, and the other surface is covered with an insulating layer, so that the electrolysis is concentrated on the burr. The tool cathode is connected to the negative pole of the DC power supply, and the workpiece is connected to the positive pole of the DC power supply. A low-pressure electrolyte (usually sodium nitrate or sodium chlorate aqueous solution) with a pressure of 0.1 to 0.3 MPa flows between the workpiece and the cathode. After turning on the DC power supply, the burrs will be removed by the electrolyte and dissolved in the anode. The electrolyte is corrosive to a certain extent, and the workpiece should be cleaned and rust-proof after deburring. Electrolytic deburring is suitable for removing burrs in horizontal holes or complex shapes of hidden parts in parts. The production efficiency is high. The deburring time is usually only a few seconds to tens of seconds. This method is usually used for gears, splines, connecting rods, valve bodies and crankshaft oil holes, such as deburring and chamfering sharp corners. The disadvantage is that the parts near the burr will also be affected by electrolysis, the surface will lose its original luster, and even affect the dimensional accuracy
